University of Dayton alumna Patti Trick Paulus presents her artistic journey in an exhibition of calligraphy and charcoal drawings. Enjoy this work and other inspiring arts experiences during the upcoming weeks.
MARY'S FLOWERS IN CONTEMPORARY ART
March 25 – June 9, 2017 in the Marian Library Gallery
The 24 oil paintings in this exhibit, by Cincinnati artist Holly Schapker, are an attempt to bring together, in a harmonious way, three facets of Marian art: nature, history, and spirituality. The exhibit is an invitation to visio divina, a meditation about Our Lady, and her meaning for us, as tradition and new insights suggest. The Marian Library is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Explore Dayton and attend this art hop which features a sample of arts, music, food, shopping and more! U.S. students are invited to join IEP students in an evening out to exchange conversation and explore the artistic talents of the local arts community. Limited space available, students are encouraged to register to secure their seats in the van. Sponsored by the Intensive English Program in the Center for International Programs.

Then & Now: A Retrospective Exhibit
June 10, 2017-July 31, 2017 in the Roesch Library First-Floor Gallery
Introduced to letterforms in 1980 at the University of Dayton under the tutelage of Lou Weber, Patti Paulus has been creating calligraphic art for close to 37 years. While hand lettered artwork continues to be her main focus, she has recently expanded her artistic expression with the addition of rendering landscapes in charcoal. “Then & Now” shows the progression of Ms. Paulus’ artwork from her beginnings at the University of Dayton to the present day.
Exhibit Hours:
- 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday
- 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday
- Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday
- Closed July 4
