Supplemental Instruction Expectations
What to Expect from SI Sessions:
- SI Review Sessions provide times for structured practice as well as an open question and answer session.
- SI Review Sessions provide opportunities to practice and review class content in a small group setting.
- SI Review Sessions are drop-in based and appointments are not required to attend.
- Students may attend as many review sessions as they like.
- SI Review Sessions take place in different locations across campus. Check out SI Supported Courses for session locations.
- SI Review Sessions are not a replacement for a student's class or their professor. The SI Leader may refer students back to their instructor for clarification of materials.
What to Expect from SI Leaders:
SI Leaders are NOT instructors and are not expected to know everything. They have been recommended by professors and have been successful students in the course they are supporting.
SI Leaders attend the class lectures of the course they are supporting.
SI Leaders hold two regularly scheduled review sessions outside of class times each week.
