Why I Love UD
Walking around both the city of Dayton and UD, I felt like Goldilocks. The city size feels just right, the campus size is just right, and it feels anything you may need while away from home is right here. If you’re looking for a home away from home in a city smaller than Chicago, but not too small, and a D1 school experience without the crowd of 50,000+ students, you might love UD as much as me!
Biography
B.A. in Psychology and History, Elmhurst University
Born and raised in the Chicagoland suburbs (Go Blackhawks!), I have called the Windy City home for my entire life. As a first-generation college student, I had no idea what I wanted out of a college experience…there were many things running through my head, and I had no guidance from family members or other peers. The college jargon scared me quite a bit! This same thought came back to me as I neared graduation when I realized I found a job field that can help me give back in the way I needed several years before; I discovered the world of higher education admissions and student affairs! UD is my second institution to work for, and I am so excited to help bring out-of-state students, like YOU, out to Dayton to start your next chapter.
