Securities Analysis Team

The securities analysis team works to familiarize team members with a variety of strategies for financial analysis, including qualitative research and financial modeling.

Team members serve as supporting analysts for the Flyer Investments Fund by analyzing current holdings' performance based on historic trends and comparison with industry peers. Additionally, the supporting analysts are responsible for introducing new investment ideas through the maintenance of a comprehensive watch list.

Gurkamal Pannu

During the summer of 2020, Gurkamal virtually interned at Susquehanna International Group as an Equity Research Summer Analyst, covering housing and financials companies. Long term, he has his sights set on the hedge fund industry.

Ryan Dermody

Ryan interned with Dresner Partners in Chicago as an Investment Banking Analyst last summer. He is currently pursuing another internship in the same field for the summer of 2021.

Brandon Bayzaee

Unfortunately, COVID-19 put Brandon’s summer internship plans at WH Trading on hold. He saw that as an opportunity to spend time with family, read, and learn a variety of new skills, such as the Python programming language.

Nathan Dammerich

Looking ahead, Nate is seeking an internship as a software developer for next summer. As a Computer Science major interested in Finance, he hopes to eventually develop apps that benefit both industries.

Joe Gannon

Joe spent last summer interning with Ziegler's Chicago office, assigned to the company's Healthcare IT Investment Banking practice. He looks forward to launching a career in the field of Investment Banking upon graduation next May.

Ben Godfrey

Last summer, Ben worked as a personal courier for both DoorDash and Grubhub to help bootstrap a future endeavor. He devoted his off hours to networking and learning about early-stage startups. This coming summer, Ben will serve in a remote capacity as a Sales Excellence Intern in support of the Austin, Texas, office of CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity company.

Isaac Grude

Currently, Isaac is interning remotely with Dresner Partners while still taking classes on campus. Come summer, he will continue his work with this middle market investment bank on-site in its Chicago headquarters through August. Meanwhile, Isaac is actively pursuing additional investment banking opportunities for the summer of 2022.

Jon Isaj

Jon worked as an Operations Intern at a major packaging company last summer while also spending time networking. Next summer, he hopes to secure an internship in New York City or Chicago. Ultimately, Jon plans on pursuing a career in corporate banking or asset management.

Camille Lubic

During the summer of 2020, Camille participated in the PIMCO Prep Program, interned with Bright Network as an investment banking intern, and was selected to participate in J.P Morgan's 2021 Asset & Wealth Management Winning Women Program. She also learned how to code in Python and was awarded the CFA Investment Foundation Certificate.

Ryan McKenna

Ryan successfully completed Global Platinum Securities' education program last summer. GPS is a highly selective, intercollegiate, value-oriented equity fund. Next summer, Ryan hopes to secure an investment banking internship.

Gino Sanfilippo

During the summer of 2020, Gino interned at First Midwest Bank in Chicagoland where he worked within its Commercial Banking - Middle Market sector. After graduation in May, Gino hopes to secure a full-time position in wealth management.

Graham Trueman

Last summer, Graham interned at Sharmac Capital Management where he was a trading analyst. While trading the entire futures market, he learned various technical indicators as well as how macro news affects the markets. Next summer, Graham hopes to secure an internship in Private Wealth, Asset Management, or Sales and Trading.

Colin Cady

With the nation in the throes of a worldwide pandemic, Colin was unable to land an internship in the financial services industry, so spent the summer working at a suburban Chicago country club. He plans to launch his career in downtown Chicago following graduation.

Jake Cogley

A COVID-19 shutdown unfortunately shattered Jake's original plans to work as a finance intern at Sherwin-Williams' headquarters in Cleveland last summer. Looking for another opportunity, he was selected to participate in Stout's Future Leaders in Finance (FLF) program. Jake is already scheduled to intern next summer as an investment analyst at Hunter Associates, an independent wealth management firm in downtown Pittsburgh.

Michael Kane

During the summer of 2020, Michael worked for a local landscape/hardscape company in Cincinnati called Supreme Scapes. He intends to add a Marketing minor to his academic course load this year, and hopes to secure an internship in equity research for the summer ahead.

Ryan McEvily

During the summer of 2020, Ryan worked for E.S. Systems, Inc., which is a mechanical contracting company in Rochester, New York. While there, he worked as a technician in the fabrication shop, producing material for various jobs across the city. Next summer, Ryan hopes to secure an internship in wealth management.

Jacob Willmann

Jake’s original summer plans were waylaid by COVID-19, so he worked as a sales associate at Home Depot until July, at which time he traveled to Fort Knox to participate in Operation Agile Warrior, an essential element of his ROTC Cadet training. Following graduation, Jake will commission as an officer in the United States Army.
