Student Development: Office of the Dean

Christine Schramm is the associate vice president for student development and dean of students. She oversees several departments, including Housing and Residence Life, Community Standards and Civility, the Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center, and Student Care and Advocacy, including the Campus Response and Evaluation (CARE) team.

Christine has actively participated in various initiatives to enhance student learning and contribute to the University's Marianist identity. She collaborated with staff from Campus Ministry and the Division of Student Development to create and assist in writing the Commitment to Community, a fundamental document of the University of Dayton. Her contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Miryam Award in 2017 for her support in promoting gender equality on campus and the prestigious Lackner Award in 2011 for her contributions to UD's Catholic, Marianist character. Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in College and University Administration from Michigan State University.
