I am thrilled to be joining the UD Counseling Center staff with a dedication and commitment to providing mental health and performance enhancing services to the UD Student Athlete body. As a previous NCAA student athlete who has worked therapeutically with student athletes for approximately 10 years, I am passionate about helping student athletes to find the balance between their mental and physical health while juggling the high demands and standards that come from both internal and external pressures.

In my therapeutic approach, I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy to guide student athletes towards psychological flexibility. In addition to helping student athletes define and strengthen their individual values, it is also important to learn how to navigate emotions and thoughts while also being able to access and stay in the present moment. In development of these skills, student athletes not only enhance their overall well-being but can also optimize their academic and athletic performance.

Outside of work, I strive to practice what I preach by leading a value-driven life. This includes spending time with my partner and our three enormous dogs, immersing myself in nature and music, and prioritizing a healthy balance of self-growth, rest, and fun.
