Personal History

Jessica is originally from Plainfield, IL, in the Chicago suburbs. She received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 and her Master’s in Pastoral Studies from the University of Dayton in 2018, while also working as the Graduate Assistant for Liturgy in UD Campus Ministry. Having lived in Illinois, Indiana, South Dakota, and Ohio, she is a true midwesterner with a passion for farm animals and horseback riding. Jess is an avid traveler, hiker, and rock climber, but also greatly enjoys curling up on the couch with a good book or the next TV-binge, and, of course, her cat, Tux. 

Her passion for ministry comes from a deep desire to journey with young people through complex, challenging and transformative experiences. She is excited to accompany the first-year students of Stuart and loves to talk about everything from theological doctrine to your latest Netflix binge to how language works.
