Personal History

I am a recent grad from UD with a background in religious studies and secondary education and I am very excited to continue my journey as a Campus Ministry graduate assistant! After completing my student teaching internship, I wanted to further my education in supporting students in ways outside of the classroom environment. I found that, for many of the struggles my students were facing, (and most people for that matter), a simple textbook answer or catechetical solution could not truly get to the heart of issues that are very personal and nuanced. Through my companion coursework in the Pastoral Ministry M.A. program, I am excited to explore these grey areas and questions around faith with students, to help them find meaning in their everyday experiences, and to create a space for them to connect with God along the way. I feel it is a great honor to walk with students through both the joys and difficulties of life and now in all the exciting changes that come with the college years!

I am originally from Cincinnati but have found my time in Dayton to be just as much like home. As for things that bring me joy, I love dogs, playing music, morning walks, and practicing my creativity in different ways (embroidery, baking, making jewelry, etc.) I love hearing people’s stories - where they are coming from, what they have experienced, and learning something new from them - I can’t wait to hear your stories and discover what makes you unique and incredible!!
