I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, a border city with Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Many of us call it "La frontera mas fabulosa y bella del mundo." Despite what people might say or think about the border, we are a place of encounter and solidarity. The El Paso and Juarez region is the largest bilingual, bi-national community in the world. Being raised in La Frontera, I am proud to be fully bilingual.

I consider myself a Social Justice advocate. I am also a family guy and if I am not at work, I like to be at home spending time with my family and/or watching the FC Juarez soccer team play in the Mexican League. In addition to my parents, I have three brothers and one sister in my family.

I am the Campus Minister for the North Student Neighborhood, and I am working closely with the Hispanic/LatinX community on campus.

¡Vamos gente, que la raza unida jamás será vencida!

In July 2022, I was awarded the Santo Toribio Romo category award by the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso which recognizes the service provided to refugees and migrants. In El Paso, I was also a Catholic Radio talk-show host for a little more than 5 years. Here I look forward to learning and growing as we walk together as a UD community.
