Personal History

Fr. Bob is excited to be serving the UD community as the University Chaplain.  Originally from Indiana, he graduated from UD with a degree in mathematics and worked as a high school math teacher for several years.  After professing vows as a Marianist Religious, he continued teaching and serving as a campus minister while completing a master's degree in Pastoral Ministry at Boston College.  He attended the Marianist International Seminary in Rome, and was ordained in 2015.  As a priest, he has served as a high school chaplain, hospital chaplain and as a spiritual director.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, hiking, and working in his community’s little garden in the North Student Neighborhood.  He recently made a 500-mile pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago in Spain.  He finds it a great blessing and grace to celebrate the Sacraments and to walk with others as they grow in their faith and in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
