Personal History

Hi!

I’m Mary Niebler and I coordinate our Cross-cultural Immersion Programs in the Center for Social Concern in Campus Ministry. I organize our alternative break opportunities for community engagement, known as BreakOuts, and our Summer Immersion programs.

I enjoy providing a variety of opportunities for students to travel, learn, share, engage, advocate, work, and reflect, domestically and abroad. I believe that it is when we truly encounter and embrace others, especially those who are unfamiliar to us in some ways, we can grow in our understanding of what solidarity might look like and work together to bring about a more peaceful and just world.

I am a trained facilitator with the Dialogue Zone on campus, enjoy working with on interfaith programming, and love working across partnerships on issues of environmental justice and human rights. I was born in Menomonee Falls, WI but now call Dayton home. I live here with my spouse, our three daughters, and our beagle. I have a BS in Education and an MA in Theological Studies, both from UD. I enjoy hiking, paddling, playing softball, and traveling.
