Profile

Jacqueline V. Gaines is a magistrate in the Montgomery County Domestic Relations Court, located in Dayton, Ohio. Magistrate Gaines presides over evidentiary hearings, and provides written recommendations to the court for pre-divorce decree and post-divorce decree motions related to child support, spousal support, custody, parenting time, contempt, and domestic violence. She also hears and provides recommendations to the court regarding Civil Rule 60 motions; motions related to temporary orders; and motions concerning foreign decrees and support matters. In addition, by order of reference, she hears and decides contested and non-contested divorces; legal separations; and annulments. She also serves as a mediator in the Court’s Mediation Department.

Prior to becoming a magistrate, Jacqueline focused her private practice on commercial litigation, employment law, and workers’ compensation law.
