Profile
Elaine joined the Intensive English Program in May of 2021. Prior to UD, she worked as a high school Latin teacher and college English instructor at Sinclair and English TA at Wright State.
While studying Classics at The Ohio State University, Elaine worked on the school’s archaeological dig in Greece, which inspired a lifelong interest in world languages, culture and history. She returned to Greece to study both Modern and Ancient Greek, volunteered at the American School of Classical Studies, and after graduation she moved to Beijing, China to teach English. More recently, Elaine has been involved with the SALVI Institute where she studied communicative approaches to language acquisition and learned conversational Latin. She has continued to blend her love of travel and education by leading student tours to Italy, Greece and Turkey.
