What do you like most about your major?

A Biology major has allowed me to work with like-minded individuals who are all interested in learning about the natural world. The broad range of classes and various people I've met through these classes have greatly helped me to determine what I want to do with my future.

What do you love most about UD?

I love that all of the students and professors are so friendly. You can tell that people really care about you when you're at UD.

Have you ever participated in faculty-mentored research? If so, what did you learn from that experience?

I recently joined a faculty-mentored neuroscience research laboratory, and I've been learning great amounts about the teamwork and dedication involved in research.

Favorite class at UD and why?

My favorite class has been General Chemistry because it was fascinating to learn about how certain chemical processes work in the natural world. The professor was very intellectual and made the class enjoyable.

What piece of your academic journey has most prepared you to begin a career after graduation?

Throughout college, I've had many different experiences that have helped me to determine my desire to work in healthcare after college. However, my job at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Patient Care Assistant has given me the opportunity to have a direct impact on patients and interact with nurses and doctors in great depth.

Why did you choose UD?

Everyone I've met that has attended UD comments about how much they love the school, which is something that set UD apart for me. When I visited the school, the size was perfect and everyone was so friendly.

Is there anything else about your UD experience you think prospective students and their families should know?

UD is the perfect size. Students will see many familiar faces each day on campus, but also always have the ability to meet new people.
