What do you like most about your major?

What I like most about being a Political Science major is the professors. Every professor in the department has a genuine interest in your success. They are all so passionate about teaching which makes us students feel very supported and prepared for the future.

What do you love most about UD?

What I love most about UD is the student neighborhood. The student neighborhood is so unique compared to other universities. The student neighborhood is a welcoming place where everyone can feel like they belong and are a part of something.

Favorite class at UD and why?

My favorite class at UD would probably have to be Legislative Politics. The reason I enjoyed this class so much was because of the professor, Gov. Taft. Gov. Taft was so passionate about the class, and I loved how he incorporated his own experiences of once being the governor of Ohio.. You could tell he was so invested in our success and used his connections to bring in speakers to talk to us about different areas of the legislative branch.

What piece of your academic journey has most prepared you to begin a career after graduation?

My Pre-Law Fraternity (Phi Alpha Delta) has really been able to prepare me for a potential career in law. Being surrounded by a group of people who have the same career interests or goals is very beneficial. I have learned so much from my peers and have gained so much advice about a career in law from alumni, UD law professors and students and lawyers in the Dayton area.

What clubs/organizations are you involved in at UD?

  • Phi Alpha Delta (Pre-Law Fraternity)
  • Mock Trial

Why did you choose UD?

I chose UD because of the community. You can tell walking through campus that everyone is happy to be here. The kindness I saw on campus was unlike any other campus I looked at. After touring UD my senior year of high school, I knew that I wanted to be a part of that.
