What do you love most about UD?

UD has small class sizes where you can really get to know your professors and classmates.

Have you ever participated in faculty-mentored research? If so, what did you learn from that experience?

It is definitely challenging at times, but it is nice to establish relationships with faculty and figure out what exactly I want to pursue in my future.

Favorite class at UD and why?

I had never taken a philosophy class before coming to UD, but I found my Introduction to Philosophy class interesting my freshman year. Since I was in the sustainability, energy, environment and living-learning community, that class covered environmental topics from a perspective I hadn't considered before and I really enjoyed it.

What clubs/organizations are you involved in at UD?

  • River Stewards
  • Geology Club
  • Outdoor Adventure Club
  • Sustainability Club

Why did you choose UD?

UD felt like the right fit for me when I was exploring college options as a senior in high school. I liked the size being not too big or too small, the variety of majors as options and the amount of clubs I was interested in.

What do you like most about your major?

I like that geology combines aspects from other science disciplines and can be applicable to many current issues.
