Master of Business Analytics Program

At this time, applications are being accepted for Summer 2021 only.

Applicant must submit a GMAT (500 minimum, 19 verbal) or GRE (minimum verbal 149, quantitative 146) score. To have your GMAT/GRE score reported to the University of Dayton, please use the following codes: GMAT: 1834, GRE: 1834.

The GMAT/GRE requirement can be waived if you meet all the requirements for one of the following options:

Option one:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, computer science, mathematics, economics or business from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA in your undergraduate mathematics courses

Option two:

  • A minimum of three years of technical work experience
  • A minimum 3.2 overall undergraduate GPA
  • B's or better in all your undergraduate mathematics courses
Resume, Personal Statement & Letter of Recommendation A professional resume is required. A personal statement is required.  Please reply to the following: (1) Why are you interested in the Master of Business Analytics program? (2) Please explain why you believe you can be successful in the program. (3) Please describe your computer programming experience, academically and professionally (requested in order to place you in appropriate courses – computer programming experience is not required). Applicants are encouraged to submit letters of recommendation, but they are optional. The documents can be emailed to for domestic students and for international students.
Transcripts All applicants must submit official transcripts of previously attended higher educational institutions to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
International Student All international students without a U.S. degree are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS score. A minimum TOEFL score of 80 on the Internet-based test or 550 on the paper-based test is required for full admission. In lieu of the TOEFL, an applicant may submit International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. A minimum Band 6.5 score on the IELTS is required for full admission. International students with a U.S. degree may be exempted from TOEFL. Please use the University of Dayton's institution code, 1834, when requesting your TOEFL score from Educational Testing Services (ETS) or your IELTS score.
Prerequisites Undergraduate majors are not restrictive, but all applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Prerequisite is linear algebra.
Financial Aid A limited number of graduate assistantships are available on competitive basis.
