Requirements

The Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematical Economics degree requires a total of at least 120 credit hours. This degree also includes requirements from our flexible undergraduate curriculum, known as the Common Academic Program (CAP).

About the Degree

A B.S. in applied mathematics economics allows you to develop the skills necessary for careers in economics, finance or actuarial science or the social sciences — or to enter graduate study in economics. The applied mathematical economics program is offered jointly by the Department of Economics and Finance and the Department of Mathematics.

We have a thriving Math Club and a chapter of the national mathematics honor society Pi Mu Epsilon. The Math Club is student-run under the guidance of a faculty member. It organizes and hosts the annual High School Mathematics Contest for area high school students.
