Campus Security and Fire Safety Report

The University of Dayton reports crime and fire statistics in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Safety Act, as amended by the Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013, and the Stop Campus Hazing Act of 2024.

How will I be notified in an emergency?

In the event of imminent danger, the Emergency Notification System will notify students, faculty and staff via SMS text message, email and phone.

Emergency warning sires are also used to alert the community of impending danger such as tornado, severe thunderstorm or a safety threat.

How do I enroll in emergency notifications?

University-provided means of contact (UD email, University telephone extension, and University-owned cell phones) are automatically included in this system.

In addition, we encourage you to register your personal cell phone number to enhance notification ability. Students, faculty and staff can update their emergency contact information via the "My Account" feature in Porches.
