Equity Compliance Office

As a Catholic and Marianist university, it is our duty to be a community that promotes the dignity of every person. The mission of the Equity Compliance Office is help provide UD's learning and working environment that is safe and inclusive, and free of harassment, discrimination and sexual violence.

Members of UD and the external community are invited to report incidents of bias, discrimination or harassment that may be in violation of the University's Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.


About Us

Purpose and Responsibilities

The Equity Compliance Office is responsible for upholding the University's commitment to fairness and equity in all aspects of its operations including extracurricular activities, athletics, academic programs, employment, and more. A primary value of both our religious and civil traditions is the inviolable dignity of each person.

The Equity Compliance Office:

  • Oversees Title IX and the University's Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.
  • Handles both internal and external complaints of protected class discrimination.
  • Handles complaints of sexual misconduct.
  • Trains the University community on Title IX, mandatory reporting and nondiscrimination policy.
  • Provides supportive measures for Complainants and Respondents.

Equity Compliance Resolution Process

The Equity Compliance Resolution Process may be used to resolve reported violations of the Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy, except qualifying allegations of Sexual Harassment (including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking, as defined in the Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy) involving students, staff and faculty members.

Sexual Harassment Resolution Process

The University of Dayton will use the Sexual Harassment Resolution Process to assess and resolve violations of the Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy related to qualifying allegations of sexual harassment (including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking, as defined in the Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy) involving students, staff and faculty members.
