FAQ

What should I expect during a UD undergraduate information session and campus tour?

A standard University of Dayton undergraduate visit lasts approximately 90 minutes. Our helpful admission staff will share everything you need to know during a 30-minute information session. A student ambassador will then lead you on a one-hour tour of campus. If you have individual questions, Recruitment and Admission counselors are available in Albert Emanuel Hall after the campus tour.

Where should I park and check in?

When you arrive on campus (300 College Park Ave., Dayton, OH, 45469), stop at the visitor information booth to pick up a parking pass. The parking attendant will direct to you a lot near Albert Emanuel Hall, home of the Office of Recruitment and Admission. Proceed to the main entrance of Albert Emanuel Hall. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit to allow time for check in.

What should I wear for my campus tour?

Your visit will include a one-hour walking tour of campus; please wear comfortable walking shoes and check the local forecast to dress appropriately for the weather (rain, snow, heat or cold). In the case of severe weather, the University may cancel outdoor tours and share a video tour instead. The safety of our guests is always our top priority

What will I see during my campus tour? Is a residence hall included?

Our student ambassadors will lead visitors on a walking tour through our 423-acre campus, including academic buildings, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, Kennedy Union, Roesch Library, RecPlex, Health and Wellbeing Center and Marycrest Complex, a residence hall for first-year students.

Can I meet with faculty in my department? Can I learn more about my major?

Yes! If you schedule an academic visit, you can explore your areas of interest, tour academic facilities, meet faculty from your area and learn about experiential learning opportunities that will prepare you for success. We recommend scheduling academic appointments in advance for the best experience.

How can I request accessibility accommodations?

To request accessibility accommodations, please email admission@udayton.edu in advance. We can often arrange a golf cart tour for guests requiring mobility accommodations; the handicap- accessible entrance is located on the south side of Albert Emanuel Hall.

Are virtual visit options available for the University of Dayton?

Several virtual visit options are available. You can attend a virtual admission presentation, schedule a virtual meeting with an admission counselor or take a self-guided virtual tour.
