Personal counseling services are available to Columbus Campus students through the University of Dayton Counseling Center. More information can be found on the Counseling Center FAQ.

Columbus students can schedule an appointment to meet with the OLR staff on UD's Main Campus, or a phone appointment with one of the OLR's experienced disability professionals. SensusAccess software is also available through the Office of Learning Resources. The goal is to increase accessibility and independence. For students, this will allow you to upload and convert documents independently into a variety of formats (MP3, PDF, Word, etc.). For faculty & staff, this allows the ability to transform a document into a format that is accessible to students with disabilities.

• PsycINFO: Index and abstracts of articles, books, chapters, dissertations, and reports in psychology.
• Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection: Covers nearly 500 full-text journals, many of which are peer-reviewed.
• PsycCRITIQUES: Full-text reviews of current scholarly and professional books in psychology, plus reviews from a psychological perspective of popular films and trade books.
• Annual Review of Psychology: Synthesizes the primary research literature and identifies principal contributions in psychology.
• SocINDEX w/FT: Index, abstracts and full-text for publications in sociology.
• PubMed: Service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine; includes more than 16 million citations from Medline (see below) and other life science journals for biomedical articles (back to the 1950s).
• Medline: National Library of Medicine resource of more than 5,600 biomedicine and health journals (1946-present).

Education Databases

• Education Research Complete: Covers all levels of education (early childhood to higher education), all educational specialties, areas of curriculum instruction, and administration, policy, funding, and related social issues.
• ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center): Index and abstracts of articles, books, and documents covering education research and practice.
• Education Full Text: Index and abstracts covering contemporary education issues.

The cost of graduate coursework in the University of Dayton School of Education and Health Sciences is comparable to public institutions.

The School Psychology program is proud to offer a number of graduate assistantships each year in partnership with area school districts in Dayton and Columbus. As with our Dayton-based cohort, graduate assistantships may be available in Columbus area school districts for our Columbus-based cohort.
