Intelligent Locker System

The intelligent locker system includes eight banks of lockers (1,300 total) that allow students secure and convenient 24/7-access to their packages and mail. This system also makes it more efficient for Mailing Services to process the 600-800 letters and packages it receives daily.

Locker banks 1-7 are used for packages for students living in residence halls and apartments on campus. Students living in the neighborhood or ArtStreet will receive packages at their residence.

Letter mail is placed in locker 8 for students living in Marycrest Complex, Marianist Hall, Stuart Complex, Virginia W. Kettering Hall, Adele Center and Caldwell Apartments only. Students who live in houses or any apartment buildings (except Adele and Caldwell) will receive their letter mail from the U.S. Postal Service.

When students receive a package or mail via the intelligent locker system, they’ll receive an email with instructions for getting their item. The barcode can be scanned at the kiosk in Fitz Hall to retrieve their item. Items that aren't retrieved within three days will be removed and held in Mailing Services for an additional seven days. If the package or letter mail has still not been picked up by the eighth day, items may be returned to the sender.

Students unable to pick up their item within the allotted time, or who need other assistance, can contact Mailing Services.
