Year-Round Housing

UD students seeking to live on campus year-round have flexible housing options designed to meet their unique needs. Contact us to speak with a Housing Assignment Officer and explore your options for secure comfortable, convenient housing that supports your success throughout the entire year.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students needing housing over winter break or other campus closures can easily request accommodations through the housing portal.

We’re committed to supporting your needs year-round—if you have questions or want to learn more about break housing options, please reach out to your Housing Assignment Officer for additional assistance.

Graduate Students

Designed with the busy lives of graduate students in mind, University Place and Plumwood Apartments offer flexible year-round housing options to keep you comfortable and focused.

Our standard contracts cover the academic year (fall and spring semesters), with the convenient option to extend into summer.

Summer Housing

UD students can secure their ideal summer housing quickly and easily through the housing portal.

Whether you prefer the classic community vibe of traditional residence halls or the comfort and privacy of apartment-style living, we have options to suit your lifestyle. Most students choose single bedrooms for maximum privacy, but shared bedroom options are available for those looking to save or connect with friends.

While we don’t offer roommate matching during summer programs, you can easily designate your preferred roommate(s) on your application to create the perfect summer living arrangement.

 

Full-Summer Rates

Summer housing is available from May 17, to August 8, 2026.

2026 Rates 

  • Residence Hall (private room): $1,160
  • Residence Hall (shared room): $930
  • Apartment (2-bedroom/4-person: shared apartment/bedroom): $1,785
  • Apartment (2-bedroom/2-person: shared apartment/private bedroom): $2,315
