Finance and Administrative Services supports the fiscal integrity and welfare of the entire campus community. As the operational backbone of the University, we provide stewardship, service and infrastructure to support the success of all Flyers.

Our Areas

Auxiliary Services and Supply Chain Management

Auxiliary Services is a diverse group of units offering goods and services to enhance campus experiences for UD students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests. These include:

Budget and Planning

The Office of Budgeting and Planning is responsible for coordinating the annual University budget process, collecting and analyzing data to support the annual budget presented for Board approval, and monitoring the University budget throughout the fiscal year.

Controller

The Controller directs and manages the financial integrity of the institution. This area provides financial reporting, as well as oversees the University's operating budget, capital budget, accounting and payroll. 

Facilities Management

Facilities Management and Planning works diligently to construct, operate and maintain an aesthetically pleasing campus environment that is conducive to learning, teaching, and research, and supports the educational mission of the University.

 

Human Resources

The Office of Human Resources is committed to being a customer-oriented, human resources partner implementing best practices, policies and programs that contribute to the University's mission. In addition to supporting the recruitment, hiring, onboarding and retention of employees, Human Resources manages employee benefits and compensation, employee relations, employee learning and development, a robust wellness program and more.

Safety, Audit, Risk and Compliance

The Division of Safety, Audit, Risk and Compliance supports the University’s mission by proactively enhancing campus safety, strengthening internal controls, managing risk and promoting compliance.

Treasury

The Treasurer's Office is responsible for managing the short term cash needs of the University and for assuring University compliance with various external taxing authorities.

Real Estate Management / onMain

Real Estate Management oversees the University's complex real estate interests that include onMain, the Marriott at the University of Dayton, The Hub powered by PNC Bank at the Arcade, the Greater West Dayton Incubator, the Brown Street medical building, and hundreds of houses in the student neighborhood.

onMain, a collaborative venture between UD and Premier Health, is a place for the local community to work, live and play. It will be a walkable community with spaces for offices, housing, retail, green space and more.

UDit (Information Technologies)

UDit builds and maintains the digital foundation for the University community. The division supports teaching, learning and scholarship through innovation, data infrastructure and innovation. They also provide technology support and resources for faculty, staff and students.
