Housing Lottery
A highlight of the weekend is the opportunity to stay in a residence hall and relive some of our undergraduate memories.
Who Can Enter
- All alumni, spouses, families and guests are invited to stay in on-campus housing.
- On-campus housing is limited and is determined via a lottery system with preference given to those celebrating a milestone reunion.
- Registration for on-campus housing begins March 10 and must be completed online.
- Registration email reminders will be sent to all alumni for which we have a valid email address. To confirm we have your most current information, please update your information online, email us at events@udayton.edu or call us at 937-229-2912.
How to Enter
- The housing lottery will open for 12 hours (from noon to midnight EDT). Keep an eye out for messages for when you should visit the Reunion Weekend registration page or visit this page for updated information as March approaches.
- Sign up for at least one paid event for Reunion Weekend (a Friday night class party or the Porch Party).
- Choose your preferred room occupancy. Two, four or six-person rooms are available (see details below). Completing this step officially places you in the housing lottery. If your name is randomly drawn, you will be notified and charged for your room on the card used for registration.
Additional Information
- All roommates may register and opt-in for the housing lottery to increase your group's chances of obtaining housing.
- Due to limited space, housing cannot be guaranteed for all registrants who enter the housing lottery.
- If your name is randomly drawn for housing, the credit card used for registration will be charged within five business days after the lottery closes. If multiple roommates receive housing, a refund or cancellation request may be made by emailing reunion@udayton.edu by May 25.
On-Campus Housing
Types of Rooms and Prices
- Two-person — Includes a common bathroom on the floor. This option is available in Marianist Hall. 53% of on-campus housing for the reunion lottery are two-person rooms.
- Four-person — Includes a private bathroom. This option is available in Marianist Hall, Adele Center, Caldwell Apartments and the Lawnview Apartments. 37% of on-campus housing for the reunion lottery are four-person suites.
- Six-person — Includes a private bathroom. This option is available at Campus South. 10% of on-campus housing for the reunion lottery are six-person suites.
Houses in the student neighborhood are not available. All on-campus facilities are co-ed. Facilities, as well as percentage of available room types, are subject to change.
Amenities Included
- General Amenities: All on-campus housing rooms include pillow, pillow case, sheets, blankets, two bath towels, soap and one washcloth per person. Please note: Pillows, sheets and towels may not be of the same quality found in hotels. If these amenities are important to your stay, you may want to consider bringing your own.
- All beds are extra-long twin beds.
- All on-campus facilities are air-conditioned.
- All rooms have a refrigeration unit.
- Please remember that these are dorm rooms. Facilities may show their age and wear.
What's Not Included
Toiletries, television, alarm clocks, radio, telephone, coffee maker, shampoo/conditioner, iron, clothes hangers, hair dryer, dishes/utensils, reading light and room service. In some rooms, cell phone service may be limited or unavailable.
Additional Information
- You will receive your actual room number at check-in for Reunion Weekend.
- It is not necessary to add roommates to complete registration. If housing is received, further information will be provided regarding updating roommate information.
- Roommates must also be registered for at least one paid event as well.
- Only names listed as roommates will receive a key. Roommates must be added by May 25 to receive a key. Email updates to reunion@udayton.edu.
- You will be able to provide special accommodations requests as well as room location preferences (i.e. placed near other friend groups), and we will do our best to accommodate your requests on your registration.
- All placements are final. Rooms are not transferable.
Check In and Out
- Check-in: Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. at Kennedy Union Torch Lounge. After-hours check-in is located at the front desk of the facility you are staying in.
- Checkout: Sunday, no later than 11 a.m. Return your keys to the main desk of your residence hall, or the designated location (please check the email used to register prior to checking out for up to date information).
Room Cancellations
If you are unable to use your room, please cancel as soon as possible or before May 25. Refunds will not be issued after May 25. To cancel, please send an email request to reunion@udayton.edu. Room cancellations must be made by the person who registered for the room.
Lost Keys and Room Damage
- Room Keys: All on-campus housing occupants must provide their information in advance in order to be issued an apartment key and/or an access card. All keys and/or cards must be returned upon checkout. Failure to do so will result in an automatic $125 lock change charge and/or $20 access card replacement fee to the person who made the room reservation.
- Room Damages: Fees will be assessed for any damage done to an on-campus housing room during your stay. UD is not responsible for these damages.

Planning and Registration
When Is Reunion Weekend?
Reunion Weekend 2026 is June 12-14.
What Classes Are Celebrating This Year?
The classes celebrating a reunion this coming summer are the Golden Flyers, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2021.
When Will I Get Information About Reunion Weekend?
If you are celebrating a milestone reunion in 2026, registration materials for Reunion Weekend will be sent mid to late February. If you are not part of a milestone reunion year but would still like to attend, please email the Alumni Relations office at reunion@udayton.edu to be included in this year's emails and mailings.
How Do I Register?
Online registration for on-campus housing and events will open this spring. If you have questions, email reunion@udayton.edu.
Events
Where and When Do I Check In?
Check-in begins at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Kennedy Union Torch Lounge. Registrants will be issued a scannable name badge, which will be required for entry to all registered events.
Onsite registration will also be located in the Kennedy Union Torch Lounge. While we welcome walk-ins, pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help us accurately plan for food and drinks. Please note that event registration fees increase by $10 per event beginning May 26. Please note that payment cannot be accepted at event entrances.
What Events Are Planned?
A detailed schedule will be shared in the spring. Check back often as the schedule might change.
Who Is Coming to Reunion?
A list of Reunion Weekend attendees will be available on the Reunion web portal once registration is open.
What Should I Wear?
Friday and Saturday events are casual. Please keep in mind that the ever-changing Dayton summer weather could be chilly and raining one minute then hot and humid the next.
Where Can I Get Snacks or Drinks?
Stop by the Welcome Center in the Kennedy Union lobby (1st floor) for complimentary water, soda and light snacks provided by the UD Alumni Association. Available Friday noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is also a great meeting spot for your friends. Or check out the Emporium in Marianist Hall open 24/7 with it's new Just Walk Out technology. Need a little more food? Kennedy Union also offers Au Bon Pain for an additional option.

What Food Will Be Served?
Food for a variety of diets (gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian) will be offered.
Parking and Transportation
Where Can I Park?
All parking lots on campus will be available to Reunion Weekend attendees Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14. No parking pass is needed and no tickets will be issued as long as you are parking in a valid parking spot. If you need to park on campus Thursday, June 11, just visit one of our visitors parking centers for a day permit.
Is Transportation Available to and from the Airport?
The University will not be running a shuttle to and from the airport. If you are staying at one of the local hotels, please contact them to see if you can arrange transportation or visit the Dayton International Airport website. Shuttle service in and around campus will be available. More information will be available closer to the event.
Where are the electronic vehicle charging stations on campus?
The EV charging stations are in lots B, S1, D and University Circle by St. Joes. Those parked at the C lot charging stations will need to move by Saturday morning.
Will Golf Carts Be Available on Campus?
Yes, we will have UD students driving golf carts around campus during the weekend. While anyone can get a ride in a golf cart, we will give priority to those that need assistance getting from place to place on campus.
Golf carts will be run Friday from 1 to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Please note: No alcohol is allowed on the carts. Please do not overload the carts. All carts must stay within the campus zone (they cannot take you to your favorite off-campus establishment).
Are Rides Available to Off-Campus Locations?
GEST Carts offer $5 rides to Brown Street and downtown Dayton.
Can I Park My RV on Campus?
Parking of recreational/camper vehicles on campus property is prohibited.
Is There a Shuttle from the Marriott to Campus?
Yes, there is a shuttle that runs from both the Marriott at the University of Dayton and the Courtyard Marriott on Edwin C. Moses Blvd. to campus and back. This shuttle runs from 9 a.m.–1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The pickup and drop-off location is at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, except for during/after the Porch Party on Saturday when the location will be near the entrance to the Porch Party.
Refunds
My Plans Changed. Can I Get a Refund?
For event tickets and housing, partial and full refunds are available on or before June 2, 2026, by sending your request via email to reunion@udayton.edu. Following this date, no refunds will be given as we need to confirm food, beverages and seating.
If you still plan on attending Reunion Weekend but need to change or add an event, you may do so by going back to your online registration. Please note that event costs will go up by $10 per event if you are registering on or after June 2.
Services, Amenities and Additional Information
Can I Use the RecPlex?
Yes! The RecPlex, UD's fitness and recreation complex, will be open during Reunion Weekend. We are offering all Reunion Weekend attendees free use of the facility throughout the whole weekend. Stop by at any time with a photo ID and let them know that you are here for Reunion Weekend!
Is Wi-Fi Access Available??
Yes! Wireless access will be available to all attendees.
- When you arrive on campus, go to your Wi-Fi connection settings and choose "UDwireless" or "UDConnect."
- Find the "Visitors: Connect to UDwireless" section and click on "Register for guest network access."
- Follow the prompts to set up your temporary account.
- You will receive a network password good for 16 hours that is renewable up to four times.
After connecting to the wireless network your browser should automatically open up the Wifi connection page. If it does not automatically pop up, go to logoff.udayton.edu while connected to "UD connect" wireless; you should then see the guest network option.
Where Can I Get Flyer Gear?
Visit the Bookstore in Marianist Hall or Flyer Spirit on Brown Street. Alumni receive a 10% discount.
What Are Current Laws?
Have fun during Reunion Weekend, but please be safe and smart.
Thinking about trying to get back into your old house? Don't. Breaking and entering is illegal and violators will be held accountable – this could include arrest.
Ohio law bans open containers of alcohol in public places, such as sidewalks. Ohio’s ban on open containers in vehicles applies to the student-driven golf carts that are available to help you get around campus.
Dayton City Commission passed Section 137.23 of the Revised Code of General Ordinances Regarding Nuisance Parties and Declaring an Emergency February 2024 which holds responsible owners, occupants and anyone present at a disorderly gathering in a residence or other venue within the city of Dayton.
The following illegal offenses can lead to arrest: open container; outdoor urination or defecation in a public place; sale or furnishing of alcohol to an underage person; illegal use of a controlled substance; public indecency; the damage or destruction of property; standing or parking of vehicles that obstructs the free flow of traffic on the public streets and sidewalks or that impedes the ability to render emergency services; unlawfully loud noise; etc.
A party or social gathering that is or becomes a nuisance party shall cease upon the order of the police; and all persons not residing at the site must leave the premises immediately. Any person who fails or refuses to abide by such an order will be arrested.
Is Childcare Available?
No, there will not be childcare available during Reunion Weekend.
Is Campus Cashless?
Yes, most campus entities, including dining options, are cashless.
Are Lactation Rooms Available?
Yes. Most of the lactation rooms are access-controlled through card readers; contact the Women’s Center at 937-229-5390 or caregiving@udayton.edu prior to arrival to coordinate access.
Are Single-Occupancy Restrooms Available?
Yes. Single-occupancy restrooms are available in several locations.
