Roger Glass Center for the Arts

The Roger Glass Center for the Arts houses multiple spaces for experiential learning, including radio and video studies for Flyer Media, as well as the Flyer News newsroom. It also has a concert hall, experimental theater and visual arts gallery.

Made possible from a generous donation by H. Troy and Eileen Sears, Sears Recital Hall is often used for events held by on-campus and off-campus groups and organizations, including musical performances and recitals, lectures and speakers and more.

Boll Theatre — named in recognition of Brother Lawrence A. Boll — provides an opportunity for students to engage in and experience the transformative power of the performing arts. It's also used by academic programs, University groups and affiliates and community organizations for presentations, performances and events.

Galleries and Studios

Art and design students have access to newly renovated studios in Fitz Hall. And the 2,000-square foot visual arts gallery in the Roger Glass Center for the Arts provides space for two- and three-dimensional art, as well as digital art.

Science Center

The Science Center houses the Keck Lab — a shared geoscience and biology teaching and research lab — as well as interdisciplinary lab spaces. And students can work and learn together in the auditorium or the mathematics collaboratory study space.

In Hathcock Hall, we have the Virtual Reality and Deep Learning Lab, Interactive Visual Media Lab, Robotics Lab and the Vision and Mixed Reality Lab.

Outdoor Spaces

We have spaces dedicated to learning about sustainability, including Mission of Mary Farm, Lincoln Hill Gardens and Ginny's Greenhouse. The solar prairie at Daniel J. Curran Place is also used as an outdoor biology lab.

Fitz Center Multipurpose Spaces

The multipurpose spaces on the first floor of the Fitz Center are available to reserve for different types of events, including lectures, presentations, departmental meetings or parties.

The Hub Powered by PNC Bank

Housed at the Dayton Arcade — a historic landmark built in 1906 in the heart of downtown Dayton — The Hub Powered by PNC Bank is one of the largest university-anchored innovation spaces in the country. It provides 95,000-square-feet of co-working and private office spaces, meeting rooms, conference areas, pop-up retail opportunities and classrooms.
