Boll Theatre

Boll Theatre, which seats 371 people, is an important performance and event venue for the creative life of the University and the Dayton community.

As a performance space, it provides an opportunity for students to engage in and experience the transformative power of the performing arts. It is also used by academic programs, University groups and affiliates and community organizations for presentations, performances and events.

Boll Theatre was named in recognition of Brother Lawrence A. Boll. It was dedicated on April 11, 1967, and has been renovated several times over the years.

University Users and Rentals

Boll Theatre is managed by the team at UD's Roger Glass Center for the Arts and is available for use by the University of Dayton community and for rent by non-University organizations. Events at Boll Theatre are often booked 8-12 months in advance.

The theatre is staffed by student stage technicians trained in safe stage operations, theatrical lighting, audio and video production under the supervision of the Technical Director and Managing Director. The stage has several arrangements that can be configured for your event or production. The seating is all on the main floor with no balcony. A control booth is located at the rear of the theatre on the second floor.

University users may make reservations for Boll Theatre using 25Live (UD login required).
