Admitted Students

Your UD email account is a Gmail account administered by the University. We recommend you sign into this account on your phone to receive notifications of new messages. Many campus partners, including your holistic academic advisor, will communicate with you through your UD email address.

We look forward to welcoming all students starting in spring semester to campus for required new student orientation. During orientation, you'll be introduced to the campus and learn about resources, Marianist traditions, tips to help you be successful and more.

First, please take a few minutes to complete the Pre-Advising Form on your Porches To-do list. On this form you’ll provide details about any previously earned college credits, as well as your interests and goals to help your holistic academic advisor get to know you.

After completing the Pre-Advising Form, reach out to your academic advisor to schedule your courses. We encourage you to complete this as soon as possible to have more availability in course options.

One of the most exciting parts of college life is living on campus with friends and classmates. UD guarantees housing for students who confirm enrollment, and no additional housing deposit is required.

First-year students live in traditional residence halls that are co-ed by floor and feature a resident assistant on every floor, a chapel, study rooms and laundry facilities, which are free to use at no additional cost. Second-year students live in suite-style dorms or apartments, and upper-division students live in apartments and porch-clad houses in our unique student neighborhood.

Housing Assignments

To get started with housing, you’ll complete your Housing and Meal Plan Contract on Porches. Students do not have the option to select a specific housing facility — placement is random based on your high school graduation year and availability. Housing assignments will be released on a rolling basis.
Housing assignments are sent to your UD email address and include roommate contact information as well as photos and dimensions of an average room in your building.

Commuters

Students living with a parent or guardian within 40 miles of campus who plan to commute will complete the Verify Commuter Eligibility step on the Porches To-do List instead of the housing contract.

As part of the housing contract, you'll also select a meal plan, if applicable.

• Students living in residence halls without kitchen access can choose between our standard and flexible meal plans.
• Commuter students and upper-division students with kitchen access can add a neighborhood plan or add Flyer Express dollars to their account for quick and convenient access to food options on campus.

All incoming students must provide health requirements information, including immunization records and a tuberculosis (TB) screening questionnaire. This information can be uploaded and entered through the student portal at myhealth.udayton.edu. The deadline to provide health requirements information is Jan. 2, or one week after you confirm enrollment.

Provide UD with your parent/guardian's contact information so they can receive the weekly Family News Digest and other important communications.

Review your financial aid offer and accept or decline student loans on Porches.

Upload your photo in Porches for your digital FlyerCard. This will be your official UD student identification card that you can access through the Get Mobile App in January.

If you are eligible to park on campus, you will need to purchase a parking pass for the current school year.

If you're currently taking classes at another school, have the institution submit a copy of your official transcripts to transcripts@udayton.edu.
