Through the Hanley Center for ESG Investing, students manage the Hanley Sustainability Fund, which aims to outperform the S&P 500 by investing in companies that are committed to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles.
By investing in companies that prioritize sustainability, ethical practices, and good governance, the fund seeks to achieve both financial returns and positive social and environmental outcomes.
Open to all majors at UD.
The Fund's investment portfolio is divided into two branches:
- Discretionary branch: 75% of the Fund's portfolio; determined by an algorithmic model.
- Non-discretionary branch: 25% of the Fund’s portfolio; determined through students to buy and sell pitches, and approval by a vote from the securities team.
