Include Business In Your Academic Journey

Even if you're not a UD School of Business Administration student, we invite you to develop business skills that are essential for success in any major. There are many ways to connect with our community and discover your path to a dynamic career.

Earn an Undergraduate Certificate in Business Fundamentals

This 12-hour undergraduate certificate is a streamlined program designed to give students a well-rounded, solid foundation in key business principles. This certificate offers non-business majors the opportunity to gain essential skills to enhance their academic experience and career prospects.

Add a Specialized Business Minor

Dive into the essentials of business with an 18-credit hour minor. You will be required to take introductory accounting, economics, and finance courses, with options to select from a menu of courses in management or marketing and management information systems or operations and supply chain management, plus one business elective.

Take a CAP Business Course

UD's Common Academic Program (CAP) is a shared learning experience for all undergraduate students. The School of Business Administration offers a variety of courses for different CAP components, giving you the chance to explore your interest in business while fulfilling your degree requirements.

Add a Business Major

Qualifying students from other academic units who want to explore business more deeply can add an additional major or change their major to one in the School of Business Administration.

Qualifications for currently enrolled, non-transfer students are based on either high school academic performance or performance at the University of Dayton. UD students must be in good academic standing to change their major.

Newly admitted students who are interested in switching their major within the School of Business Administration before starting their journey at UD should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission to discuss their options.
