My summer at the Legal Aid Commission in Accra taught me that access to justice begins long before a person enters a courtroom. Sometimes, the first barrier is simply getting there. Behind thousands of case records are people navigating traffic, transportation costs, financial hardship, family responsibilities, and difficult personal circumstances in their search for justice.
