RECkids Camp

Our philosophy is based on three foundational elements that inform our programming and work with youth:

Recreation

Our camp provides experiences for campers to be active. From the aquatics center to the rock wall, to outdoor athletic fields and many oases on campus, campers enjoy activities focused on health and wellness. Activities include sports, art, games, group challenges, and outdoor pursuits. Not only do our campers run outside, breathe fresh air, and use muscles to jump, splash, and climb, our activity time builds a sense of community and encourages feelings of belonging and shared responsibility.

Education

Our campers are challenged to think critically, work collaboratively, and solve problems creatively through their involvement in dynamic, hands-on activities that encourage communication and cooperation in nurturing and engaging educational environments.

Celebration

A key component of our camp is to celebrate the ordinary and extraordinary moments of the summer. We take time to pause and review progress our campers make, encourage them to work on their personal best goals, and acknowledge the strengths and contributions of everyone. Celebrations come in all forms: words of affirmation, letters home, all camp parties, shared laughter and many, many high fives.

Weekly Camp Rate

• UD Campus Recreation Rate: $170 per week, per child
  This rate applies to current UD Campus Recreation members registering their children or legal dependents.
• Community Rate: $190 per week, per child

Early Drop-Off and Late Pick-Up Pricing

To help accommodate schedules, campers may register for early drop-off (7:30-8 a.m.), or stay for late pick-up (5-5:30 p.m.). Extended care is an additional cost for each camper and must be registered at least a week in advance. These prices cannot be pro-rated.

• Early drop-off: $20/week
• Late pick-up: $20/week
• Package for both early drop-off and late pick-up: $30/week

If your child is NOT registered for the extended care portion of RECkids Camp, we ask that you check in your child between 8 and 9 a.m. and pick up your child before 5 p.m. If your child is checked in before 8 a.m., you will be charged the early drop-off fee of $20 for that week. Campers who leave camp after 5 p.m. on any day will be charged the late pick-up fee $20 for that week.

• Refund requests made 30 days or more before the first day of the session will be refunded in full minus a   $20 administrative fee per child, per week.
• Refund requests made 11-29 days before the first day of the session will be refunded at 50%.
• Refund requests made 10 days or fewer before the first day of the session  will not be eligible for refunds .
• In the case of illness, injury or other exceptional circumstances documented by a licensed physician or accredited third party, an exception to the refund policy may be directed to the camp director. These requests will be reviewed individually and may or may not result in an exception.
• Session Transfers: Registrants may request to  transfer their session registration to another available camp week during the same summer or to another camper.
