Academic Visits for Future Engineering Students

The best way to understand our passion, innovation and community is to experience it yourself!

When you visit the School of Engineering, you'll learn more about life as an engineering student and discover all the ways you can create an academic experience that speaks to your interests and goals. Your visit will  also include meeting faculty from the program you're interested in, connecting with an engineering student ambassador and taking a tour of our engineering building.

High School Junior Visit Days

Jan. 31 and Feb. 14, 2026

High school juniors and their families are invited to join us to get tips for navigating the college admission process; learn about UD's academic programs, experiential learning opportunities and unique residential community; and tour the campus.

Explore Engineering

Feb. 28, 2026

High school juniors and seniors can join us for an afternoon deep-dive into the fields of engineering and learn what sets the University of Dayton apart. You'll participate in hands-on lab activities led by our faculty and hear from our dean, faculty and students.

Admission counselors will also be available to answer your questions about admission and financial aid.

Women Engineering Program Overnight

Join us for the Women Engineering Program Overnight on Saturday, March 7, to learn more about the program and meet fellow incoming engineering students. Then, attend Admitted Student Day on March 8.

The University of Dayton School of Engineering has a team of student ambassadors that help show prospective students what it means to be a UD engineer. You'll meet engineering student ambassadors during your academic visit or any other engineering events you attend.

Locating Kettering Labs on Campus

Kettering Labs is home to the University of Dayton School of Engineering. View us on Google Maps and the campus map.

Parking and Permits

The C Lot is the closest parking lot to Kettering Labs. If you're visiting during the day on Monday-Friday, stop at the booth at the southern entrance to the C Lot to get a parking pass.

Finding and Entering the Building

Kettering Labs is the five-story building at the northwestern side of C Lot.

  • Your Engineering Academic Visit will start in Kettering Labs Room 166. Follow signage for Future Flyer Visits.
  • If you enter the building from the C Lot entrance, proceed through both sets of doors, take a right and follow the hallway around to the elevators. Walk past the elevators to room 166. Follow signage for Future Flyer Visits. If you pass room 101 (The ETHOS Center) you are headed in the right direction.
  • If you enter the main/front entrance of Kettering Labs, turn right at the elevators. Walk past the elevators to room 166. Follow signage for Future Flyer Visits. If you pass room 101 (The Ethos Center) you are headed in the right direction.
