Visitor and Event Parking

All vehicles parked on University of Dayton property must display a valid UD parking permit or visitor permit during these times:

  • Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Permits are not required outside these hours, as long as you park in a visitor space or in a single letter lot (e.g., Lot A, Lot B, Lot C, etc.).

You must purchase a permit if you park on campus for more than two consecutive weeks, or more than three times per month.

Obtaining a Visitor Permit

A visitor permit is required to park in the visitor parking spaces. To obtain a visitor permit, either:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Group Events

For group events, contact Parking Services at parking@udayton.edu or 937-229-2128 to inquire about space availability and obtain permits.

Delivery Spaces

15- and 30-minute delivery spaces are available in certain locations. No permit is needed for these short-term spots, but emergency flashers are required.

Motorist Assistance Program

If you are parked on University property and experience a problem with your vehicle, we can provide the following assistance free-of-charge:

  • Battery booster service
  • Escort to obtain gas
  • Vehicle lock-out service
  • Tire inflation service

Additional Parking Information

Visitor Parking at Curran Place

  • A parking permit is not required for visitors in visitor parking spaces.
  • Employees and students are not permitted to park in visitor spaces.
  • For visits more than three days, contact parking services for arrangements.
  • For group events, contact parking services to make arrangements.
  • 30 minute delivery zones are available. Emergency flashers are required.

Monthly Permits

Monthly permits can be purchased by the individual or department for temporary employees, volunteers, contractors, vendors or those requiring short term parking.

Disability Parking

A University of Dayton disability permit is required when parking in a disability space. Vehicles must display a University permit along with the state placard. A visitor with a state-issued disability placard or disability license plate should, like other visitors, obtain a visitor permit for the privilege of parking on campus, and then may, subject to availability, park in a disability space.

All marked disability parking areas are enforced 24 hours daily, 7 days a week. Disability parking permits are not valid in reserved parking spaces (e.g., those designated for "authorized personnel," etc.).

Contractor / Vendor Parking

Anyone parking on campus for more than two weeks is required to purchase and display a parking permit. Those parking on campus infrequently/periodically may obtain a temporary permit from the visitor center. Monthly permits can be purchased by the individual or by the department for contractors, vendors, or those requiring short term parking.

Permits are not required for:

  • Delivery Vehicles parked in loading dock or delivery areas
  • Freight Trucks
  • Public Service Vehicles

Policy includes all company or private vehicles used to conduct business on campus.

RV, Camper and PODS Storage Units

  • Parking of recreational/camper vehicles on campus property is prohibited.
  • PODS storage units are not permitted.

Limitation of Liability

The University of Dayton assumes no liability or responsibility for damage to or theft of or from any vehicle parked in or on University property.
