Experiential Learning for Future Teachers

The Education Field Office provides you with opportunities to explore your interest in teaching beginning your first year. From year one, you'll be spending time in classrooms at local partner schools, logging observation hours as part of your coursework and exposure to the profession of teaching.

By the time graduation arrives, you'll have spent 800+ hours in area classrooms, preparing you to make an impact on students in your own classroom.

Current students can find additional information on Porches.

Field Experiences

For field experiences, you'll have the opportunity to learn at urban, suburban and rural school settings in public schools, charter schools and/or private Catholic schools.

As a teacher education student at the University of Dayton, you'll have numerous opportunities to apply the skills and knowledge you've acquired during your time as a student and you're prepared for your future with confidence and ready to make an impact on today's students.
