University Honors Program

Dr. Mary-Kate Sableski has joined the Honors Program as the Honors Faculty Fellow for Teaching. In this role, Dr. Sableski will help improve honors courses by meeting with faculty and strengthening teaching techniques.

The University Honors Program (UHP) is a rich resource that fosters growth in students’ understanding of their vocations through a number of resources and programs. Olivia Upchurch chose to take advantage as a way to challenge herself.

The University of Dayton Honors Program challenges students beyond the classroom, igniting a spark that pushes students to make real change in the world. One Honors Program student, Sam Conley, is using his passions for humanitarian work and engineering to help our local community in need.

Throughout its history, the University Honors Program (UHP) has served its students well, providing them with academic opportunities, experiential learning, and a strong community of peers who strive for excellence while journeying to discover their individual vocations. At the University of Dayton, the UHP isn’t just a shortcut to early scheduling or a passive label that one receives as a freshman and eventually adds to the resume. It’s a commitment to grow, flourish, and then contribute to the common good by utilizing the resources and guidance provided as fertile soil.

Each will use their unique talents and abilities to help foster new ideas, organize and plan events, and assure that all students know about the amazing opportunities the Honors Program has to offer.

The University of Dayton Honors Program pushes students to use their knowledge for challenging and dynamic coursework, but also to discover new truths about the world and how it operates through innovative research projects.
