Need help with a research paper, lab report, business plan or another writing assignment? The Write Place offers free support, encouragement and guidance on any type of writing assignment, for any class, at any stage of the writing process.
During a consultation, you'll work one-on-one with a writing consultant. Some of the things that consultants can help with include:
- Brainstorming as soon as a student receives their assignment.
- Identifying and narrowing a topic.
- Developing a thesis.
- Generating and organizing ideas.
- Reviewing drafts.
- Assisting with revisions.
- Offering proofreading strategies.
You can use the Write Place as often as you like. Most sessions last 30 minutes, and you can schedule an appointment online.
If you'd prefer to receive comments electronically, a digital drop-off service is also available. Most projects are returned in 48 hours.
