Another basketball season, lots of new faces
Thousands of basketball players transfer each year. Here’s a rundown of who’s on the court for Dayton this season.
Jaiun Simon (pictured above) is an oddity in modern college basketball. He’s a scholarship player entering his fourth year at the school he attended as a freshman.
Also playing their fourth year at UD will be walk-ons Evan Dickey, Will Maxwell and Makai Grant.
F, 6-foot-8, 220 pounds; played last year at UD after redshirting one year at Villanova.
F, 6-foot-10, 205 pounds; freshman. In an on-campus pickup game, played against Obi Toppin and DaRon Holmes II.
G, 6-foot-1, 185 pounds; previously at Kentucky and Mississippi. Set Kentucky high school career scoring record.
G, 6-foot-4, 170 pounds; freshman. In April was MVP in Ohio-Kentucky all-star game.
F, 6-foot-9, 205 pounds; limited playing time at UD last year. Was All-Ohio First Team in high school.
