What is Commitment to Community (C2C)?
Commitment to Community (C2C) defines the foundational Catholic Marianist principles and daily practices that ground living, learning and working at the University of Dayton.
Rooted in our faith tradition, C2C unites students, faculty and staff in a shared promise to intentionally live out three core principles:
- Dignity of Every Person: Honor every person created in the image and likeness of God.
- Community is Essential: Recognize that authentic community is essential to human flourishing.
- Practice Solidarity: Work together to build the common good.
Grounded in sustaining spiritual practices, C2C invites our entire campus to strive together toward realizing a truly Catholic Marianist vision for community.
A Catholic Marianist vision of education makes the University of Dayton community unique. It shapes the warmth of welcome we experience and the family spirit we treasure.
