Pre-Service Education on Brain Injury

We work with pre-service training programs to provide current and field-specific information about the care of clients with brain injuries. To this end, we are creating brain injury education modules tailored to different disciplines, designed to be dropped into academic courses in programs across the state of Ohio. These modules will facilitate the dissemination of best practices in service delivery for clients with brain injury in pre-service programs such as nursing, school psychology and teacher education.

Traumatic Brain Injury Resources for Professionals

We both work to create and to disseminate existing field-specific resources regarding TBI care to professionals in the fields of education and healthcare.

Brain Injury Resource Packs

In partnership with the Play4Payne Foundation, we have created Resource Packs to be given to brain injury survivors by our local hospitals at discharge. These backpacks have a binder and notebook to help the survivors keep track of important information, a reusable water bottle, UNO cards and a practical guide to navigating brain injury, with pamphlets and a contact form to help us connect with them for additional support.

Social Connections for Families Affected by Traumatic Brain Injury

The Play4Payne Foundation runs a monthly social for families affected by TBI. Part of our work involves creating and promoting events like these.
