Take some ‘Moments with Mary’

By Ann Zlotnik

After a successful partnership with art collector John Kohan to put on the East Meets West exhibit in 2023, the Marian Library is hosting another exhibit from the same Sacred Art Pilgrim collection. The exhibit, Moments with Mary, which opened July 15 and runs through Nov. 1, features intimate portraits of the Virgin Mother by women artists from around the world.

"As you linger in the gallery, focusing on each artwork, you can imagine each artist’s personal connection with Mary and reflect on the emotions each moment brings you."
– Kayla Harris, director of the Marian Library

Looking ahead

During the 2025 Lenten season, the Marian Library will display additional works from the Sacred Art Pilgrim collection depicting the Pieta – the Blessed Mother cradling the body of her son, Jesus, after he is removed from the cross. The exhibit, free and open to the public, will be in Roesch Library’s Stuart and Mimi Rose Gallery.
