Gallery Saint John to close with final sale event

After 34 years of showcasing the artistic talents of Marianist Brothers, Gallery Saint John at Mount Saint John in Beavercreek, Ohio, is closing its doors March 1. However, before the final chapter is written, the gallery is inviting the community to a special sale event, offering a unique opportunity to own a piece of artistic history and support a meaningful cause.

From Feb. 8-10, art enthusiasts can browse a beautiful collection of over 600 works, all available at discounted prices. These impressive and inspiring pieces not only represent artistic talent, but also capture the essence of local landmarks like the University of Dayton’s Immaculate Conception chapel.

Proceeds from the sale directly benefit the Marianist Brothers and their continued artistic endeavors.

More than just acquiring a piece of art, purchasing a work at the sale becomes an act of supporting their artistic legacy.

“We are fortunate to be blessed by the talents of our brothers who create such beautiful and inspiring works," said Fr. Oscar Vasquez, Provincial for The Marianist Province of the United States. "We encourage them to continue to express and share the grace of their imagination and creativity. The legacy of our artists will move to the Marianist Creativity Center located at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. We will continue to look for ways to showcase the art of our brothers and display it on various social media outlets where it can continue to be discovered, preserved and offer inspiration for future generations.”

The Marianists have lived and ministered at Mount St. John since 1910. The 150-acre property is home to the Marianist Novitiate, North American Center for Marianist Studies (NACMS), Marianist Mission, Bergamo Center for Lifelong Learning, Marianist Environmental Education Center (MEEC) and a new three-acre solar array and nature preserve covering 100 acres of woodland and wetlands.

This final sale event presents a bittersweet chance to celebrate the gallery's rich history and embrace the future of the Marianist mission. Share your love for art and support the Marianist Brothers by taking home a piece of Gallery Saint John's vibrant legacy.
