Carole Montgomery, who created and stars in three Showtime specials for Women of a Certain Age, nurtured and encouraged a slate of stand-up comics, some of whom performed for the first time, during Stand Up Comedy Night at the 2026 Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop.
“Every performer brought their best game, and the atmosphere in the ballroom was so supportive and fun,” one audience member said.
“Lots of fun,” another added. “Kudos to those new to stand up who were brave enough to perform in front of hundreds of people.”
