A Pittsburgh native and graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, she lives with her husband and two children in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she has been honored with Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards in 2024 and 2026 and served as 2019 Writer-in-Residence for the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library.
