Who's Publishing What: The Marriage Debt
Christina Consolino’s latest contemporary women's fiction book, The Marriage Debt, follows a perimenopausal woman who has lost her desire for sex.
Nika Stewart hit the jackpot when it comes to her second husband. But thanks to impending menopause and her long list of responsibilities, she doesn’t want to have sex with him. When Nika seeks help from a therapist, she discovers that sex with Ethan (or the lack thereof) might not be the only problem after all.
The book has been called a “raw, witty and deeply relatable portrait of midlife sex, marriage and self-reinvention” by Carolyn Clarke, award-winning author of And Then There’s Margaret and And Now There’s Zelda.
Consolino is the author of Rewrite the Stars and The Weight We Carry as well as co-author of Historic Photos of University of Michigan. Her work revolves mainly around family, marriage, relationships, and physical or mental health issues. She also writes romance under the pen name Keely Stephens. She can be found most days running, reading, writing, teaching or sitting with a warm cup of coffee.
