Who Loves You Best

Who's Publishing What: Who Loves You Best

Marilyn Simon Rothstein describes her fourth novel, Who Loves You Best  (Lake Union Publishing)as “a contemporary family comedy that features mothers, daughters and way too many grandmothers.”

The protagonist, Jodi Wexler, a 67-year-old podiatrist who lives in Boca Raton, Florida, is thrilled to be invited to the Berkshires to babysit her granddaughter while her daughter is out of town. But it’s not what she thought it would be. There are already two other grandmas on the job — one is 27 — and her daughter’s marriage is in shambles.

“Marilyn Simon Rothstein is a comic genius whose warmth and wisdom can also bring tears to my eyes. Who Loves You Best — about multi-generational family and friendship —is her best book yet,” says Jennifer Belle, bestselling author of Swanna in Love.

Rothstein has also published Crazy to Leave You, Husbands and Other Sharp Objects and Lift and Separate. She grew up in New York City, earned a degree in journalism from New York University, began her writing career at Seventeen magazine, married a man she met in an elevator and owned an advertising agency for 25 years.

This makes me supremely qualified to be a grandparent coach.
