True Confessions of an Ambivalent Caregiver

Who's Publishing What: True Confessions of an Ambivalent Caregiver

Written for caregivers of parents and spouses, True Confessions of an Ambivalent Caregiver (She Writes Press) is a funny but brutally honest collection of essays from award-winning author Cindy Eastman who challenges the romanticized notion of caregiving, portraying it as an elegant conflict that reshapes family dynamics.

Eastman is an award-winning author whose first book, a collection of essays entitled Flip-Flops After 50: And Other Thoughts on Aging I Remembered To Write Down, was published by She Writes Press. She also has contributed pieces to several anthologies.

She holds a master’s degree in education and currently teaches English at her local community college. As an educator, she has taught writing to students between the ages of 5 and 85 and presented nationally at the Story Circle Network 8th Women's Writing Conference in Austin, Texas.

True Confessions of an Ambivalent Caregiver will be published in September 2024 but is available for pre-orders. Read more of Eastman’s essays at cindyeastman.com.
