Mathew Klickstein’s essay, “When Being a Superhero Ain’t So Super,” will appear in Power Up: Leadership, Character, and Conflict Beyond the Superhero Multiverse.

Mathew is a longtime multi-platform storyteller whose work has appeared in numerous publications — regional and national, online and off — and whose books (typically focusing on "pop culture history") have been released by some of the largest (and smallest) publishers globally. He is also a notable filmmaker, podcaster, playwright, novelist, TV series producer, comic book creator and arts therapist/college lecturer.

His upcoming books include one on Troma’s Lloyd Kaufman for University Press of Mississippi and a graphic novel with renowned cartoonist and illustrator Rick Geary for Fantagraphics Books.
