Brain Health Collective to host Fall Resource Fair Oct. 22
The Brain Health Collective, along with multiple local organizations, will host a Fall Resource Fair at Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley on October 22 from 3 – 7 p.m. The resource fair is open to the public.
Survivors of traumatic brain injuries and other brain health challenges will find support for themselves and their families from Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley, ADAMHS, United Rehabilitation Services, Ohio Brain Injury Program, Kettering NeuroRehab & Balance Center, Play4Payne Foundation, and others.
"Too many times when someone is facing a brain health challenge, their families struggle to connect to resources. We want to bring these organizations together in one place to make it easy for survivors and their families to benefit from support groups and connect with other groups who can help," said Mark Sigman, founder of the Play4Payne Foundation and member of the Brain Health Collective.
"The Brain Health Collective is focused on four areas: Professional Education, the Continuum of Care, Collaborative Applied Research, and Marketing, Awareness & Promotion. The Fall Resource Fair is part of our awareness effort to ensure families and individuals can access resources in our region," said Susan Davies, director of the Brain Health Collective and chair of UD's Department of Counselor Education & Human Services.
About the Brain Health Collective: The Brain Health Collective is a partnership between the University of Dayton, The Dayton Foundation, and multiple individuals and organizations dedicated to producing interdisciplinary research and community partnerships that contribute to the greater good surrounding brain health.
